The theme for the International Human Rights Day this year was Peace and Dignity
The local chapter of Amnesty International in Amherst (Group 128) observed the event in a rainy cold night by reading of the Universal Human Rights Declaration.
The group celberated the Day in solidarity with its adopted Prisoner of Conscience, the Libya journalist Fathi El-Jahmi.
